Bullish Counterattack Lines
Bullish Counterattack Lines is a candlestick pattern that traders often use to identify potential bullish reversals in the market. This pattern consists of two candlesticks, with the first being a bearish candle followed by a larger bullish candle. The Bullish Counterattack Lines pattern suggests that after a period of selling pressure, buyers have stepped in to drive prices higher. Here’s an…

are the talking crows still around? what are They doing while all this drama is going on around them in the world
Mostly doing their own crow things and not commonly having direct and mutual interactions with other sophonts. They're similar to yotici in the capacity that they have Very different modes of living than most other sophonts, and they generally are not recognized as 'People' in the same sense as humans, elowey, qilik, caelin, and delkhin. However, (given their strategic and intelligent capacity for word mimicry) talking crows tend to be comprehended as unique magical animals or spirits, or are not recognized as a distinct type of entity but rather feed into broader corvid folklore (as they are very difficult to visually distinguish from many common crows).
They make a few appearances in Whitecalf as small flocks of crows trailing the pilgrimage, picking at its food supplies and occasionally scavenging on its dead. This is a family unit of talking crows that has suffered heavily in the drought, with very few of their chicks surviving infancy and even some of the healthiest adults dying of thirst and starvation. They have recognized this mass movement of big two legged people as a source of potential sustenance, and are very persistent and skilled in keeping themselves fed.
In-text they may come off as an ambiguous, possibly magical element (or partially hallucinatory) from the character POVs, due to them going from a mundane presence indistinguishable from common crows to them uttering dire threats in clear and fluent Wardi. This is very unsettling and hard to reconcile for most who witness this, but is actually just a learned method of taking advantage of beliefs in corvids as ill omens to frighten off or distract targets while another crow snatches bits of food or a nice wineskin.
#Couya is experiencing increasing breaks from reality at this time and it is VERY unsettling for her- especially given confirmation#that it's entirely real and other people can hear it too.#Even noticing the fact that the crows will proceed to snatch food from behind her back doesn't really click as 'Oh I'm being tricked' it#just seems like an additional layer to the sinister omen#Brakul's used to the concept of birds delivering omens (though not usually through speech) so he's just like Well. You Heard Them.#Not all talking crows actually talk with other people and frequent use of vocal mimicry is a cultural rather than ubiquitous factor.#These Wardi crows have generally made a good living without interacting with humans and thus their ability for speech is not#a broadly recognized factor in Imperial Wardin and will usually be seen as singularly unusual and frightening when they DO utilize it.#talking crows#couya haidamane#brakul red dog

Theory: some High-Ends use the corpses of past OFA users
There aren't tons of High-Ends. They can't be mass-produced so easily, and there's only one that's blatantly female, literally named Woman and with a tall, defined figure
Maybe Woman's original identity is already confirmed, but... she's similar to Nana in build, isn't she?
It's hinted that All For One actually kept Nana's corpse. How, 20+ years later, could he give Tenko his grandmother's pristine hand? Is he just keeping their hands? Or their actual corpses?
Also, when looking at corpses to give multiple Quirks to, One For All users are the best for this. Having inherited One For All, their bodies had maintained multiple Quirks when they were alive, even if they couldn't use more than their natural Quirk and One For All's physical ability. And to their bodies, One For All doesn't count as just one Quirk; the natural one, and Yoichi, are already too much for a human. But Shinomori shows that it counts each previous user's Quirk, on top of Yoichi's and one's own natural one.
Their bodies adjusted to holding multiple Quirks, and when they were alive, they didn't become deformed or lose brain function. They were perfectly fine, and only had shortened lives—but that doesn't matter as corpses.
Nomus go brain dead when they have multiple Quirks. But the past users didn't, being completely fine, making them perfect for Nomu development.
High-Ends can think. They're all physically powerful, and One For All users make the best basis, even from leftover embers and physique. So why not use that great base to make the best outcome Nomus (High-Ends)?
#originally this was going to focus on how hood could be shinomori cuz a lot of things line up#like pants; avoiding the strongest couldve been tweaked to looking for the strongest; that afo didnt know his face so named “Hood”#for theming; Endeavor burning him and saying to rest (shinomori gets a cremation and can relax [OFA]; and so on#but nope Hood is confirmed to be a boxer from some ring#(and the fact endeavor says Hood is like him from the past or future.. and that shinomori wanted to grow his strength as much as possible)#(for the factor.. so technically he wanted to be the strongest......)#BUT NOPE HOOD IS NOT SHINOMORI#it would really make sense if he were though#man#mha#bnha#my hero academia#boku no hero academia#nana shimura#woman#nomu#ofa#one for all#spoilers#hikage shinomori#yoichi shigaraki#afo#all for one#imagine afo is keeping their corpses and sets them loose on midoriya who just destroyed the last of the consciousnesses#darkkk#edit: its mentioned shinomori had an autopsy so we know his cause of death AND GARAKI WORKS IN THE MORGUE.#GARAKI WAS ALIVE BACK THEN YKNOW#GARAKI WAS ALIVE FOR ALL THE USERS. HE COULD HAVE PRESERVED THEIR CORPSES AND TURNED THEM TO NOMUS

I wish you guys could understand how much it sucks that this season really does seem to give the POSSIBILITY of something ACTUALLY shifting in terms of Buddie, but Kr*sten did so much damage and had me so pissed and scarred from the Season 6 finale that I spent this whole goddamn hiatus conditioning myself to stop getting my hopes up.

ok one post about the ign interview bc the bit about the evil route just hit so weird
putting aside my initial reaction that it's a condescending way to treat your audience, it's like genuinely—what's the point of an evil run? what do people want out of that? many possible answers, my main one would be to explore a character with different motivations. but they went with, 'let the player indulge the worst impulses they're assumed to have and then punish them for it,' and, why?
yeah, killing the tieflings is heinous and feels bad. but discussion that takes the scenario itself as a given and goes 'how could you the player choose to do this horrible thing, of course there's less content, what did you expect' like man...i wanted to see the other option in your branching-choices rpg. you, the writers, have full control over this whole setup. a secondary/evil route could have been anything. you chose to make it this. why put it in if it's a narrative dead-end that just exists a moral gotcha? why center the big act 1 choice point around that?
it feels like a dm going hey dipshit, if you keep killing all my npcs there's not going to be any story, which, fair. but you're making a video game, you hold all the cards. why so much focus on rebuking the worst kind of players when you're free to just not write avenues for that kind of behavior into the plot
it's like they're wedded to one conception of what an 'evil' playstyle is that they feel obligated to but don't really respect or want to write for. by dnd law, we HAVE to include The Evil Route where you kill everybody indiscriminately, but if you take it you're bad and you should feel bad. and again, just....why spend the resources on smth you have contempt for. it doesn't have to be wanton destruction. there's a thousand more interesting ways to do dark side characters. why not come up with an alternative way for PCs to interact with the plot that you're actually enthused about writing?
#well the budget factor i guess#i'm not even that big on playing evil in rpgs it wouldn't get my goat the way it does except#i think the whole thing is brought down by this sort of heavy-handedness they keep confirming isn't just my imagination#like roleplay comes in two modes. goody twoshoes & murderhobo#i don't want to play either of those man i just want to play an assortment of little guys who belong to world they live in#tho the one writer who said he likes playing evil bc it's shorter and you get more cool fights........he is real for that#bg3#ok i'm done bitching about this lol#i've got it out of my system#like the take that an empty world is 'true reactivity' i.e. truer than swapping in different content. i'm just. i'm just.#how is that not just putting your story on rails. i'm#ok i'm done for real

not even gonna tag this properly bc i don't wanna get Involved but i do have some Thoughts i need to get out into the void so here we go
(aaa quick edit: CW for mention/discussion of Boothill leaks)
#today's gone Badly and i'm upset but instead of venting abt it i'm gonna channel that energy into doing a bit of tag rambling abt Boothill#well. less abt Him and more abt uh. self-analyzing my anxiety surrounding contributing to fandoms. he's just today's catalyst#like. i know it's mostly a me thing. i'm hypersensitive to criticism and very conflict avoidant + socially anxious + perfectionistic etc.#so I'm the one that keeps myself from posting more stuff out of fear of being criticized or called-out for what i've made#bc inevitably Someone's gonna see it and think its OOC or a problematic take or they'll misread my intent. etc etc what have you#but like. that's inevitable. there's no way to communicate every single thing with all of the nuance required to avoid misunderstandings#and other times it's not a misunderstanding it's just a difference of opinions and that's Fine!! there's no accounting for personal taste#there's no accounting for several things actually. taste‚ bias‚ lore-knowledge‚ differing levels of chronic-online-ness‚ etc#so this isn't me complaining abt the state of fandom culture (although i do think. sometimes. ppl take shit a bit too seriously)#but anyways all of this is mostly just anxiety-fueled. it's not like i very often actually even receive negative feedback or anything#if anything ppl tend to tell me that i'm overthinking it and killing my own fun and worried that my stuff is more OOC than it is#which like. yeah. Yeah u right :) but that's just the way that i am! always losing the idgaf war i suppose#anyways what's Boothill got to do w this ur wondering. well. i've been thinking abt the quickly emerging concept that he's illiterate.#and it just. has me feeling a lot of ways. and watching ppl disagree over it has me feeling some Bad ways. bc it's def a loaded topic!#if you'll pardon the pun there. and i don't rlly have anything new to add other than that i'm conflicted abt it.#like yeah i saw the leaks days ago. of him mentioning 'not hitting the books' much as a child when we ask him why he sends voice messages#or voice Transcriptions ig. ykwim. and like. *braces for impact* ...i liked it? like. it doesn't feel right to call it endearing#i'm not trying to infantilize him. ok that's not the right word either but ugh. you know? what i mean?? who am i kidding even i don't know#it's not quite right to say that it feels like Representation either. but it's something close i guess#as a southern person myself who didn't receive a 'complete' education due to factors that weren't to do with my intelligence#the concept of seeing him as a capable force to be reckoned with and respected who also happens to have not received much formal education#i like that. i do. but there's so many issues w it at the same time. like. as i said‚ being southern myself has me Wary of the way Hoyo is-#writing him. as well as of the way that the fandom is taking the bits of his lore and running away w them. and i'm Very aware of how ppl-#will see a southern character and be All Too Eager to agree that they're lacking intelligence based on our Redneck™ stereotype#sigh. and before we even go too far with this. it's not even confirmed that hes completely illiterate. which is a valid criticism i've seen#there's Multiple reasons that could make him prefer voice to text. but regardless. i'm just worried that ppl will misconstrue my intentions#like. example: that edit i made the other day of him saying 'no thanks i can't read'. wasn't me playing into the stereotype of-#'haha dumb country boy can't read!' it was. in my eyes. something he'd say as a joke to make light of a potential insecurity#like. i think there's far more depth to Boothill's character if ppl could look past the surface. and i dont wanna contribute to the problem#but sometimes ppl Will have stereotypical traits and i wish the same could apply to characters as long as it's done Thoughtfully.

according to tim heemskerk (jonas’s coach), things are going well in tignes and jonas is progressing well. they recognize that he can recover form very quickly, but also that with his injuries and the time crunch a lot of things are uncertain. for now they are taking things day by day, assessing what jonas's form is like and seeing how he feels about things. in addition to physical fitness they're also working on addressing any potential nerves when doing descents or riding in a group.
sounds like jonas's family is also in tignes or nearby, so at least until the rest of the team arrives for the full camp he is able to spend time with them in addition to training.
#he also confirms that jonas stayed in spain so long because he wasn't cleared to fly home due to the punctured lung#jonas has been doing physical therapy and exercises to strengthen his shoulder again in addition to regular training#his coach doesn't seem overly concerned about the nerves thing (although he probably wouldn't say if he was)#seems to see it as something that will resolve itself with time but still a factor to consider especially since he won't have a race first#jonas vingegaard

he needed so little to get a win
#eredin#the eyebrows being the main point...darker brows are the easiest fix#eye color is also a major culprit...changed to an almost white blue for an 'icey' and 'spooky' factor.#little rant;#people saying that his game design is inaccurate af because eredin is supposed to be ''''attractive''' according to the books....#what are you talking about?#ciri says he looks like a ghoul when he grins.#she says he has a sharp face right off the bat and emphasizes that eredin has the opposite of ava's ''gentle'' look in her eyes.#yes saying he looks intimidating doesn't mean that she thinks he looks ugly.#but it certainly doesn't confirm that she thinks he's handsome or that he's objectively got a handsome look.#it's probably about ciri's little ''infatuation'' for some people but that doesn't confirm he's handsome either...#she doesn't get flustered until he feigns kindness with an apology and a flower...#she is also in awe of his nice action at the palace because she thinks that he did that out of consideration. not a mention of his looks.#i'm going off on a tangent....point is...#tldr; cdpr didn't go entirely off the mark by going a 'ghoul' route with eredin. he's not ever described as handsome in the books.#i think they went a bit too far since they already make him one-dimensional and then try to make him look extra 'evil' constantly but...yes#i have work to do...back to the turmoil.

can't stop thinking abt how the fact that declan mattered so little to his father that the asshole couldn't even be bothered to keep the memories of the day his son was born was supposed to make up for declan's whole shitty childhood
like hey kid u know what u just weren't worth the pain. do u feel better abt it now.
#like. for years he made declan feel like he didn't matter.#and then it gets confirmed#and that is somehow the emotional resolution?#trc#declan lynch#the whole getting rid of memories storyline was so unnecessary#such a poor attempt at artificially increasing the poor meow niall factor#like. it's like saying to every kid who got fucked up by the divorce 'oh but u parents suffered more! suck it up'#his parents lacked the emotional maturity to go through the break up and take care of their child at the same time and that's okay#happens all the time#it's okay to say that they fucked up.#u don't need to shift the blame to the child for refusing to see all the love he was supposedly showered with#yes he did that. because it's easier for a child's mind.#the conclusion wasn't supposed to be 'omg my father loved me so much i just refused to see it! now that i see it im happy and healed'#it's 'yeah my father was an asshole and my feelings abt it were valid but he was also a complicated person who did love me in his own way'#'it just wasn't enough to make him a good father and it wasn't my fault'#oh and i am forever mad abt the moth scene at the end#why are we making it abt niall? again#i have had enough of this dude#all that needed to be said abt him was said in dream thieves#he's just not intresting enough to keep bringing him up all the time#this is niall lynch hate blog

Some people: Kaeya’s bio father is an abusive monster who abandoned his son in order to achieve his own selfish goals. He is an evil man who deserves everything awful that might happen to him.
Other people: Kaeya’s bio father did the right thing and leaving Kaeya in Mondstadt was the only way to give him a halfway-decent life. He is a better father than he is given credit for and should not be as hated as he is.
Me: Kaeya’s bio father is integral to the general war is hell and bad choices can reverberate across time’ thing that Genshin seems to be going for. He made unethical choices, but mostly because the ONLY OPTIONS HE HAD WERE UNETHICAL. If our understanding of the Alberich’s role in Khaenri’ah is accurate, General Alberich (my name for him until stated otherwise) was suddenly in charge of a hopeless and dead kingdom which begged to be saved. Assuming that there was a reason Kaeya specifically was chosen for this mission, General Alberich was forced into a position where he needed to choose between the lives/future of every Khaenri’an vs the life and future of his young son. Abandoning either is an awful thing to do and a horrible decision, but the bad decisions of Celestia and Rhinedottir have led to a scenario where General Alberich can only make bad decisions. In the end, he chose to prioritize his people and made his young son into a spy. We do not know the process for this, but knowing how much Hoyoverse loves to torment people (especially Khaenri’ans) we can assume that this process was horrific for Kaeya and could definitely be considered abuse. General Alberich is effectively making his son into a child soldier for a war that the majority of people never wanted or asked for, and one Kaeya was likely far too young to understand. At least, until he was forced to grow up far too quickly in order to fulfill his duty. General Alberich likely loathed everything about what was happening and even in his last moments with his son he asks for forgiveness. He knows that what he is doing is wrong, but to turn back now is to both abandon his subjects and make everything that happened to Kaeya in order to turn him into a child spy be for nothing. So yeah, General Alberich is a terrible person who made horrible choices. But war and the bad actions of others have created a situation where he has nothing BUT horrible choices and where being a terrible person is the only thing he can be. And that’s without considering how the curse/abyssal corruption could impact the scenario.
#idk#I just think that Kaeya's father is kinda an Asgore situation#where the only decisions he could possibly make were awful and unethical ones but choosing neither would create an even worse outcome#also I want to clarify that both of the other interpretations that I parroted before giving my own thoughts are valid#because we are working with such limited information and yeah no shit people are gonna have differing thoughts#people have differing beliefs and perspectives on things which are CANONICALLY CONFIRMED to be clear situations with lots of info about it#so of course people are going to go in like 80 different directions with his character#BECAUSE WE HAVE NEXT TO NOTHING TO GO OFF OF#and basically every interpretation of him I've seen is pretty reasonable#Like yeah man's son is a child spy who was abandoned in a far away country for the purpose of being a spy for Khaenri'ah's interests#thinking that he was an abusive asshole isn't exactly unreasonable#nor is it unreasonable to believe that he was actually a decent man who left his son in Mondstadt as the 'only hope' of Khaenri'ah#because he just wanted Kaeya to live on and have a life outside of the Abyss#and Kaeya was mistaken when he thought he was simply being left behind as a pawn#Genshin is no stranger to unreliable narrators and this wouldn't be the first time a character story wildly mischaracterizes something#so like...both of those interpretations are valid#and pretty fair ones as well#But I think that it really is like an Asgore situation where yeah this guy sucks and he is an awful person who made so many bad choices#But also was left with nothing BUT bad choices through war and grief and other factors that were genuinely outside of his control#Sacrifice your son's childhood and happiness by forcing him to be a child spy and abandoning him in the middle of a deadly storm#or let your people (including yourself) rot away into nothingness while facing a fate worse than death while they all but scream to be saved#there are no good options#kaeya's father#don't take this too seriously I just really liked Undertale when I was younger and I'm getting Asgore vibes from General Alberich

Sorry what's aces? I've never heard of it
Don't be sorry!! "ACEs" stands for adverse childhood experiences. The idea is that there are certain childhood traumas (physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, neglect, alcoholic parents, etc) that significantly increase a person's likelihood of developing mental & physical health problems and ultimately reduce life expectancy when they occur in tandem. There's a test where you add one "point" for each of 10 events a person has experienced and it will give you some idea of how at risk they are for certain health issues and early death. The total is called the "ACEs score". Most Americans (I know they're British but I don't know the data for the UK sorry) have a score of 1, and a score over 6 indicates very high risk. Jamie would have a score of at least 7-8
It's important to note that that's not an absolute, though, just an assessment of statistical risk. People with traumatic childhoods can and do live long and healthy lives, and there are effective interventions + factors that mitigate risk!!
#ask#child abuse#i say 7-8 because one of the risk factors is seeing a parent be abused and that's not confirmed but i think it's reasonable to assume that#Georgie was also abused by James#men who are violent with their children are almost always violent with their children's mothers

if you have a question, it is wholly okay and arguably important that you at least sometimes look up the answer. if you aren't sure about information you want to share on social media, you can also double check its veracity prior to sharing. if you still aren't sure after searching for more information yourself, then asking strangers on the internet is fine, but confirm any answers you receive prior to internalizing them. (which you can do by using key terms from others' answers in your subsequent search strings.)
this won't stop you from interacting with others on tumblr dot com. instead, it will deepen those interactions, improve your digital literacy, and prevent me from manifesting as your sleep paralysis demon.
#sorry i just. i'm trying. but i just saw a reblog asking questions answered by the listicle linked in the post. like in the intro.#and several notes/replies doing the same. i'm sure people just skimmed the text at the beginning to read the listicle.#which is fine. but if you have follow up questions re: a list. the intro/preface to the list is a great place to start.#and conjecture isn't necessary when you can like. look things up. and find out why or how or when or where or what.#you don't have to just make up facts that you can look up. you don't have to spread facts you aren't sure are facts either.#and like this is just like a mild and recent example of an ongoing issue that is measurably impacting information flows#if you make confirming/following up on info a habit for the things that don't matter#you'll be better equipped for when it does matter.#btw if you wedge yourself into my notes solely to cauterwaul that the enshittification of Google precludes any self guided learning#then I will eat all of your fingernails right out of your nail beds.#so. factor that into the substance of any replies/reblogs.#(I will gladly offer resources if asked.)#(I will eat your fingernails if you have only defensive justifications for your own refusal to seek out info)#(ignorance is not a problem. Never bothering to even try to learn & refusing self direction is a choice you should keep to yourself)
